If you are looking for an alternative to a traditional christening or other religious ceremony, then a naming ceremony is a beautiful way of welcoming a child into the world - it is also a wonderful way of introducing adopted children into the family
A naming ceremony should be a joyful celebration of new life and I can help you create a celebration that marks this rite of passage with a day filled with love and happiness. Here are some ideas that I could help you deliver:
We can organise the day to involve siblings, grandparents and friends who you may want to act as Guide parents (Godparents) to make their promises and pledges to your child.
You could also declare your vows towards the child and reflect on the reason why their name was chosen and what you your hopes and dreams are for your child in the future.
I can help you incorporate family traditions or any cultural elements which reflect your personal beliefs or values into the ceremony - we could even include special rituals such as lighting candles, exchanging gifts or planting a tree.
We could ask everyone to write a wish on paper leaves hang them on a tree or your friends and family could bring a small gift to put in a memory box to open when your child is older.

First you need to know whether I am the right person for you so we schedule an informal chat via phone, video or in person to discuss your plans for your wonderful day.

Confirmation
If you decide to go ahead with me as your celebrant, I will send you my booking form and make sure the date is saved exclusively for you.
When you send back the form along with a 20% deposit then we can get started.

Meet Up
We will meet up (ideally in person) and I can really listen to what you want.
We can talk about how you want to welcome your new child into the family, how you chose their name and if you want to involve grandparents or guide parents in the celebration.
Together we'll talk about your future plans, and your dreams for their future journey

The Fun Begins
- I will go away and write a bespoke script which will include all your wishes for the naming ceremony including any special rituals, readings, poems or music you may wish to include.
- When I have written the script and you have reviewied and I made any changes I will send a payment notice for a further 60% of the total bill, but don't worry...
- ...you will still have plenty of time to make further changes along the way to ensure that it is perfect as possible.

On The Day
I arrive in plenty of time before the service, so I am there to greet you.
After the ceremony I will submit my final invoice for the last 20% of the bill.

- Initial consultation/chat
- Unlimited communication throughout the process. This may be via email, text, video or phone.
- Travel within a 20 mile radius of Huddersfield free of charge (additional costs may be incurred should there be more travel involved.)
